Governmental Affairs Coordinator sgagovaffairs@ucf.edu Gabriela Polera is a senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Legal Studies and a certificate in Litigation and Advocacy. Originally from New Jersey, she now resides in central Florida. At UCF, she has held various leadership roles, including President of the UCF Mediation Team, Fundraising Chair of the Knights Pre-Law Association, Senator for the College of Sciences, and Vice Chair of the Government Affairs and Policy Committee. Her professional experience includes working in the Office of the President and the Dean’s Office of the College of Community Innovation and Education at UCF, and as a Legal Assistant focusing on Community Association Law. In government, she interned for the Florida Senate President Pro Tempore Dennis Baxley during the 2023 Legislative Session and served as a Legislative Aide during the 2024 Legislative Session. Currently, Gabriela serves as the Governmental Affairs Coordinator for UCF Student Government. She is responsible for ensuring that the lobbying concerns of the student body are addressed at the university, local, state, and federal levels. She oversees hosting events in conjunction with political action groups that bring policymakers to UCF to educate the student body on prominent issues. < Back
