Parking Appeals The Judicial Council serves as the second level of appeal for parking citation appeals for students. The Council has the power to uphold, reduce to an administrative fee, or overturn the decision of the University Parking Citation Appeals Committee. Please note, The Judicial Council is bound by university regulation UCF-6.007 Traffic/Parking Regulation and Enforcement. The form can be accessed via Knightconnect. Eligibility for SG Judicial Council Parking Appeal In order to submit an appeal to the Judicial Council, you must: be currently enrolled in a course; have had your citation upheld by the University of Parking Citation Appeals Committee; and submit the appeal, located below, within 10 days of receiving your decision from the University Parking Citation Appeals Committee. Student Grade Appeals If a student believes that a final grade is given to them on an unfair basis, they have the ability to appeal it. The Judicial Branch also provides advising on the process while the appeal is heard by the appellant’s college. The form can be accessed via Knightconnect. Fiscal Administrative Appeals Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) or individuals have the right to appeal any sanction or fiscal decision issued to them by the Legislative Branch, and these appeals are ultimately decided by the Judicial Council. The appellant shall fill out the currently provided online form or contact the Chief Justice to initiate the process within one (1) calendar year that the fiscal administrative decision was handed down. The form can be accessed via Knightconnect Election Violation Appeals If a candidate or ticket is found to be in violation of Title VI during a Student Government election, they have the right to appeal the decision of the Election Commission to the Judicial Council. Impartial Advising If a student wishes to request the services of an Impartial Advisor for the Student Conduct and Academic Integrity (SCAI) process, they may do so through the Judicial Council. An Impartial Advisor does not act as an attorney, but may answer questions, explain procedures, and review written statements. This service does not extend to cases involving sexual misconduct, including violations outlined in sections 5.008.5 and 5.008.6 of the Golden Rule Student Handbook.
