The Student Government is a representative body modeled after the United States government. Through its Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches, the Student Government aims to represent student issues and concerns at all levels of university decision making. Through a $20.4 million dollar budget acquired from student fees, Student Government maintains hundreds of student jobs, oversees two facilities (the Student Union and Rec & Wellness Center), and is constantly creating new services and initiatives aiming to make campus life better for all UCF Knights.
In addition to implementing new services, perhaps Student Government’s most vital role is the protection of student interests in both the UCF administration’s decisions as well as decisions made at the state level. Through governmental affairs divisions, committees, and professional lobbying firms, SG ensures that the student voice is not only heard but taken seriously.
Student Government serves as the advocate for our University’s largest stake holders — the students — by creating actionable solutions to student concerns and providing resources and services that enhance the collegiate experience.
To be THE resource that enriches the student experience by cultivating an inclusive campus culture that is innovative, collaborative, and empowering.
