The Student Government Leadership Council (SGLC) is a committee comprised of dedicated and eager student leaders looking for a way to get involved within SGA. Through this council, members will partake in a mentorship program in which they will be paired with members of the Executive Cabinet, Legislative Branch, Judicial Branch, and other SGA Leadership to learn the best practices of student leadership!
As first year students, you will be given a unique opportunity to learn about the school, figure out what way you would like to get more involved, and get hands on experience working with others in a university setting. You will be given many opportunities to take on leadership roles in projects and initiatives across campus!

The Legislative Branch (or Student Body Senate) is composed of 72 student leaders who are elected by the student body each year. Our Student Body Senate provides students and organizations with the funds necessary for travel and conference registration, as well as for campus-wide events and projects. Also, through various committees, Senate has great impact on issues that directly regard the Student Body. Student Senators also work on college-specific and/or campus-wide initiatives that better the student experience for UCF Knights!
The Election Commission serves to promote and facilitate the Senate and Presidential Elections for the Student Government Association. The Election Commission is comprised of ten students that market, facilitate and ensure that all candidates and campaigners abide by the Title VI Election Statutes.
All students are encouraged to apply. In order to be eligible, you must be in good academic and financial standing with a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
